YevgenyYevtushenko's  famous biographical poem called "Zima Station"

            ***
        Which of contemporary writers
        is most acute and up-to-date?
Perhaps, as a judge I am not righteous,
        - it's Shakespeare, I estimate.
And, like a wave, the theme of Hamlet
        dashes upon one's temples now
that fools and men of perfect talent
        are puzzled and confused, somehow.

And wringing their hands but slowly
to sounds of jet whistle and drone
trying to catch a train or trolley
crowds of Hamlets are on the run.

The voice of actors drown humbly
in roaring storms and trouble sea
when the whole world to-day, like Hamlet,
decides: "To be or not to be".
                                                                          Yevgeny Yyevtushenko
